SMG Souls Soldiers is a compact, dense weapon, constructed entirely from toy soldiers. Inhabited by miniature, frozen souls that make up the very structure of the artwork.
The contrast is stark: a rapid-fire weapon, synonymous with urban violence, lightning conflicts, and instantaneous losses, revealed here in a childlike, almost playful material.
But beneath this appearance, the work speaks of another war: one where men are merely raw material for conflict. Where the individual disappears into the cadence, crushed by the system they feed.
SMG Souls Soldiers questions: what remains of the human in the instrument of death? Does the artwork fire bullets, or ghosts?
