Black Cross is a reinterpretation of the cross, composed entirely of small soldiers painted black.
A sacred symbol of suffering, sacrifice and redemption, the cross here becomes a frozen military mass, an army nailed to a history of perpetual war.

The anonymous soldiers form the silhouette of the cross. The work questions:
Who is being sacrificed today? For whom? For what?
She twists a symbol of faith to graft a darker reading onto it: that of a world where faith mixes with power, and where bodies often fall in the name of an ideal that surpasses them.

Black Cross is neither an attack nor a celebration. It is a statement, a silent and majestic sculpture.
