Peace and Wart is a work that represents the famous "Peace and Love" logo made entirely of toy soldiers.
Each figurine symbolizes the human mass enlisted in the logic of conflict. The work plays on ambiguity: the symbol of peace becomes a military assemblage, revealing the violence sometimes hidden behind pacifist discourses or political stances.
By covering a universal message of non-violence with plastic soldiers, the work asks: is peace real, or simply shaped by those who hold the power to wage war?
The title itself, Peace and Wart, evokes a wound, a growth on the word "war," like an uncomfortable truth that cannot be ignored.
